Mod Post. 12/3/18
Hello everyone, and welcome to December's monthly mod post! Here are your color changes and news for the upcoming month! Happy winter holidays as well! Please be sure to give especially the AC section a read.

If there are any questions, please ask them here, so that we don’t miss any. Thank you, everyone, and happy holidays!

Quests
- First off, AC has completed and has been processed. AC is now open for December. December's AC Post can be found here. Please note that due to December being a very busy month for many people, December's AC is a check-in AC with some basic requirements. Please read the AC post for more details!
- Characters removed via AC are:
- Alexa Hase (poetryslamming)
Jade Harley (spacedogeity)
Nico di Angelo (umbraportation)
Rebakah Cooper (provostsdog)
Rose Lalonde (grimdeity)- Applications will open again in January, on January 1st! At the moment, we have 12 slots for new players. We don't have any plans as of this moment for a new TDM for December with how busy December tends to be for everyone, but please let us know if it would help players to have one!
- This month's event will involve sign-ups for particular parts of it; with that in mind, we'll be putting the post up a little early so players have time to keep an eye out for it. It will be a little less intense compared to last month's event, both to give everyone a breather and also to allow for peoples' breaks from RP for the holidays, but it should hopefully give some insight into the past of the Town!
Color Changes/Rewards
- Quests for December are now up! The OOC breakdown of said quests can be found below, as with last month. All quests have been posted ICly to the Quest Forum Post. Only quests for this month can be turned in for a reward.
- The Quest Reporting comment can be found here. As ever, please respond to that comment once the quest itself has been completed. When reporting the quest, please state what quest it is in the subject line; we've realized that that helps us a lot with keeping track over the past few months!
- Please be aware that Quests must be reported by the end of the month; this is because we use what quests are completed to keep track of what colors are restored for the next month!
This month’s color changes are as follows (color changes can be tracked at the Color Timeline):
Color Gains:
- All new characters have had their text color restored, and the outside color of their houses. Their houses will all be shades of the district they live in -- for example, shades of yellow for Flavo.
- For completing all of the quests last month, the characters have restored the daytime sky. Blue skies are all theirs once again, after so long of waiting. The sky finally has color properly again, sans some very specific times, like sunrise.
- Through their efforts and bonding this past month, characters have also restored some specific, special holiday colors. However, you won't get to know what they are until you pick a thread from your color log to submit! Please choose one thread from your color log to submit here. Each player can submit one, and will get to see what that particular thread has restored! Please be aware the thread must be from the past month to be valid for this.
- Because the Ice Queen's throne was destroyed during the event, characters will find that they generally have a heightened immunity to the cold this month. It's not perfect immunity by any means, but they can at least hang out in the snow longer without being totally miserable!
Color Losses:
- The well has lost its oddly regained color from last month! But on the plus side, now it's no longer frozen over, either. It's just a regular old colorless well once more.
If there are any questions, please ask them here, so that we don’t miss any. Thank you, everyone, and happy holidays!

ryan just wants to put a bow or something on a spider since they seem interested in festive decorating, is this going to be an okay life choice to make.

I was wondering if there was any way you'd consider allowing this month only for us to submit quests before the thread is completed, since it's a busy month? I'm finding myself busier than I thought with balancing the small handful of quests I set up, and I've seen others saying the same, guilt-wise. I don't want to hold anyone else back on getting their rewards, but I don't want to rush out lower quality tags, either.
It's fine if not, but I figured I'd try to ask!

QUEST 36
Requirements: 1 blue.
It's time to get into the Christmas spirit! Time to carol it up, and get your singing voices tuned. Time to drag your blue friends out to go sing at your other friends at all odd hours.
That's right.
It's time for holiday caroling.
Grab a blue (unless you are a blue), and go sing in front of someone's house. That's really all it takes. Both of you have to sing, of course, but...well, try to have some fun with it, okay?
Ways to succeed: This quest is not particularly picky. The definition of caroling is "A song of praise or joy, especially for Christmas", so really, so long as it's a song of some sort (anything from rapping to hymns and everything in between will count) sung joyfully for some winter holiday (doesn't have to be Christmas!) and done with a blue, you guys will be good to go.
Ways to fail: Honestly, so long as you're singing in some fashion and drag a blue along, you're golden. Both people do have to sing though!
Limit: 3 per character

QUEST 37
Requirements: 1 red.
It turns out that Santa's elves really are going for the jugular this year. The small jolly creatures will be stealing into Town to try to kidnap characters... To wrap them up in ribbons and bows and put them in other characters' houses, as cute little (gagged and bound) gifts for the holidays.
They can be fought, of course, if you see them coming; not fighting them off, and instead being delivered to someone else does count as having failed the quest.
Still, if you're awake to fight them, be wary! They're quick little assholes, with ice magic and sharpened candy cane weapons and aren't afraid to use them -- to try to deliver you to people in pieces instead.
Ways to succeed: Fighting off the elves in any capacity will work for this one. You can fight them off before they kidnap you, or someone can rescue you along the way -- but once you've been delivered, the quest will be considered a failure.
Ways to fail: Please let the elves deliver you. It'll be fun! Of course, if they kill you, that's also a failure, but that's not very Christmas-y, is it?
Limit: 3 per character

QUEST 38
Requirements: 1 yellow.
Have you ever heard this story? If not, the quest probably seems a bit strange... But if any intrepid character is brave enough to head out into the woods to chop down a pine tree to bring it back to the Town... They'll suddenly find that there's a giant spider watching them wherever they choose to set it up.
Spooky!
The spider won't attack them; it just wants them tk decorate the tree with all of their heart and soul (with someone else, of course; get into the spirit of collaboration here!).
If the tree is decorated well, the spider will skitter on away into the woods, and you'll have the reward of a beautiful tree! If you fail, well...
It's venomous, okay? It'll attack, and then you have a giant spider boss battle going down.
Ways to succeed: Find a tree, chop it down, bring it back to Town, and decorate it for the spider that imevotably pops up to watch. It doesn't have to be beautiful, but it does have to be earnest -- a tree decorated earnestly but hideously will be accepted, while a tree decorated lazily but beautifully will not.
Ways to fail: Seriously, don't stab the spider.
Limit: None

QUEST 39
Requirements: Any Colors.
This one is pretty self-explanatory. Go deeply into the woods, trekking through snow, fending off bears, avoiding (or falling through) icy rivers and ponds...
And eventually, unerringly, you and your companion(s) will find a bell. It gleams silver, hanging from a tree as if makeshift, but it can't actually be removed.
Ring it, and make a wish, out loud so the woods and your companions both can hear.
Maybe something magical will happen...?
Ways to succeed: As above, so long as you head on out there with a companion or two and ring the bell and make a wish, you'll be good to go.
Ways to fail: If no wish is made, then of course the quest is doomed to failure. Likewise, the wish must be stated out loud, which characters will have a sense of when they get there.
Limit: Two per character
