Mod Post. 7/7/18
Hello to all of our newcomers, and welcome to Awash! Thank you for your interest in the game, and we hope you have a good time here! This is just a quick mod post to make sure everyone's on the same page, and ready to play. Please be sure to give it a read, and don't hesitate to ask if anything is unclear!

- New characters must submit half-AC.
- Those requirements, as well as the AC post, can be found here.
- Please be sure to also read the general AC guidelines, here! It is very important that you do, as we will not be granting AC exemptions due to the capped nature of the game.
Gameplay Mechanics
- Character housing, now that the application round is over, can be found here! This is where characters can find their laptops, though they are by no means required to stay there; they can move at will, and their laptop will function in whatever new home they pick. The spreadsheet is editable, so please feel free to move your characters around!
- Quests can be done by incoming players at any point once they have been introed. Quests can ICly be found here. OOCly, further information can be found here!
- A list of current restored colors can be found here; please be aware that no colors have been restored for new characters yet. That means that their text color will be black, and their homes, unless shared with a current character, will have no color.
- The OOC meet and greet can be found here.
- The Calendar has also been updated with this month's weather!
Event Log
- A mingle log will go up tomorrow, July 8th at 9 PM EST, to provide a general introduction to the game. Due to the size of the app round, the mingle is geared more towards being open for everyone to play in it, though we encourage paying special attention to our new players and characters!
- This event will be themed after a harvest festival, and will involve a nice feast for all of the character to enjoy and partake in! That said, new characters will still be arriving via the well, so you might want to rescue all of them, first. There'll be a bit more information on it in the log itself tomorrow.
- After that, new characters will be welcome to create logs and posts as you please! Please be sure to read over the FAQ once more before you begin playing.

1) If a character was going by a fake name, would their placeholder display that or their real name?
2) Re: a meal they've been craving: for characters who generally don't eat, would something like... alcohol count as a meal...

1. It'll display their real name! But... there's absolutely nothing stopping them from just tearing it up or hiding it, it's just regular paper.
2. Alcohol is fine! It can be anything they've been craving that they would be able to consume.

1. Okuyasu dug a hole near the well a while back and then got it filled in? Would Shiho be able to read anything from the location, more specifically in terms of who did it and what happened?
2. The food they get for Event 7, is there anything Shiho can read from it? More specifically why the food is there, where it comes from, where the ingredients are from and who prepared the food.

2. The food is totally normal. Normal ingredients, normal food. It's purpose legitimately seems to be just there to reward them for sticking with things, if she can read such things; the ingredients themselves seem to come from their homes, or at least places that would be reasonable for ingredients like that to come from (ie, for a fish dish, the fish comes from the ocean where it'd usually be found, and not the harbor in the Town).
Nothing on who prepared the food, though! It's just kind of there, as if it spawned into existence or something.

If Shiho touches one of the characters that recently died to try and figure out how they were brought back, what/who brought them back, could she do that? Would she be blocked? Similarly, what could she tell from food that once had colour but has now lost its colour?

The food itself, once it has no color, is similar--it's just like everything else without color, and suddenly cannot be read at all. Now that their color is gone, it's like everything they were before has been wiped from existence!

If Shiho touched Okuyasu and tried to figure out what made him suddenly forget what he was doing, would she see anything? Or would it be blocked?

- Can some of the food/drink be kept as leftovers to eat later?
- Can they keep the dishes that the food came on?

That's a definite yes to both of those questions! The dishes, the silverware, the tables and tablecloths and everything can be kept at will! They won't disappear either -- sorry, guys, clean up is on you.
The food can be kept and stored as long as would be logical for whatever their dishes may have been!
